Static Bloom / Open up My World

WPP stands for Witness Protection Program — a labour of love and a lab for incubating lovely music. Since 2021, it has operated as a space for artists who wish to remain anonymous and release music they might not be able to share otherwise. A Workshop for Phantom Producers.

Static Bloom emerged from a sudden burst of inspiration in the studio. The track captures the moment light first pierces through darkness, like a sun rising over a dystopian landscape, whether it's a desolate moon orbiting Saturn or a dancefloor shifting from the punishing rhythms of night into the softer glow of morning. It's a slow, deliberate bloom of sound, mechanical yet emotional, restrained yet expansive. The track comes in two versions, one is fuller and more evocative, and the second is sparser and leaves more for the imagination.

Open Up My World is almost a short story. A nod to the early '90s, when music producers were channeling the long nights they spent in clubs into studio sessions fueled by samplers, mixing desks, and racks of effects. These were dubbed-out excursions into the Balearic unknown, shaped by instinct and atmosphere. This track follows that tradition, unfolding in distinct chapters, each one layering new tension and psychedelia onto the last. At its core, it's a late-night confession whispered through a haze of rhythm, culminating in an inevitable, cathartic release.
